We had the most lovely time in Cornwall , and visited some beautiful places .
We have stayed in holiday cottages across England and Wales for many years now and Norwood has been the best we’ve ever stayed in . A lovely house and so well equipped , it really was home from home and very relaxing .

Wonderful holiday at Norwood House in Boscastle

We had a fantastic stay at Norwood House and loved the property. It was so comfortable, beautifully kept and had all we could wish for in respect of facilities. We have stayed at many cottages over the years but have to say this is right up there with the best. We also loved Boscastle and are so pleased we chose to stay there, it had so many great walks nearby all of which were extremely enjoyable.

Stunning

What a beautiful home in an idyllic location just a short downhill stroll to the lovely harbour with its quaint shops and pubs. The property does not disappoint and is located in a quiet backwater with only occasional people and the odd car going to the harbour. Delightful walks are on your doorstep a truly desirable property we will be going back.

As soon as we arrived we felt welcome seeing a table set for afternoon tea, with cake and flowers. Although we have stayed in Boscastle many time, this was our first time at Norwood. We were not disappointed, the house had everything we could need and was extremely comfortable, especially the master bed. We’d come again and recommend it to others. Thank you.

An outstanding property in beautiful Boscastle

If you are thinking of staying in stunning Boscastle , then this is the place to stay! We expected the house to be lovely from previous reviews but it was outstanding. Firstly, it was so clean and beautifully decorated throughout to such a high standard. The beds were comfy, the shower fantastic and the freestanding bath fab! It was also very well equipped, and a very welcome home made cake was waiting for us on arrival! A good sized parking space was available just up some steps from the house which was great. The house was just a 5-10 minute walk from the impressive inns and cafes, (we ate out most nights at a different place and every meal was beautiful, they have some very good chefs in Boscastle!) Nancy, the owner, kept in touch and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely be back to stay at Norwood – how could we not!

Home from home

Really lovely stay at Norwood. We were delighted to find the table set for afternoon tea with a beautiful home-made Victoria sponge on our arrival – very welcome after a long journey. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds soooo comfortable, and good showers. We did try cooking with the Aga, but not very successfully. Didn’t find the small electric oven very successful, either. (This is the only reason why I’m not giving this property a 5). The Perfect Spot

We stayed in the house for Boscastle Walking Week and it made the perfect base. It was well decorated, fully equipped, comfortable and very clean. Cooking with the aga was a novel experience. The showers were fantastic after a long day’s walking and there was plenty of space for storing boots, daysacks etc. It was also very useful to have a reserved parking space. Afternoon tea and cake on arrival was a lovely touch.

Lovely cottage conveniently located in Boscastle. Separate parking was a real bonus and house was really clean on arrival. Sitting in the front garden terrace just people watching was very relaxing. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Boscastle.

Wonderful Cornish house

We stayed here for a week in early October and were really impressed with this most comfortable house. The attention to detail was outstanding and it felt like a home from home. We would thoroughly recommend it and being close to stunning Cornish coves was a real bonus.

Comfiest beds ever!

We have stayed in multiple properties over the years, but this was by far the comfiest!! A real home from home. There was plenty of space to relax and it was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The parking space just above the cottage was very welcome on the narrow lanes of Boscastle, and it was a perfect base from which to explore. We’re already looking at dates to return… Thank you Team Norwood.

What a wonderful house to stay in and in a lovely location. House is beautiful and very well maintained. Dogs loved sitting out the front looking over the wall and towards the end of the week thought they owned the place and would woof at passers by. The aga was quite easy to cook with in the end, just needed a bit of patience but that’s what holidays are about. We could have just done walks from the house every day and left the car parked, so many lovely routes. Very highly recommend this house.

Lovely house situated in a ideal position in Boscastle away from the busier harbour area. Easy walk downhill to the harbour, shops and the pubs. Very useful parking bay located near to the house. House very well equipped and despite being very dog friendly was spotlessly clean. It was ideal for my friend and I sharing due to separate shower and one en-suite bathroom with shower.. House extremely comfortable and the owner has paid attention to every detail. Dora enjoyed her walks along the River Valency. Will look forward to a return visit..

Norwood House is a truly delightful cottage set in the beautiful picturesque village of Bostcastle. The house has everything you could want. A beautiful sitting room , dining area and bespoke kitchen. Both bedrooms were bright and comfy and the bathroom-shower rooms were well equipped. An ideal place to stay a real home from home. Plus the pubs are a 5 minute walk away! What more could you ask for! Loved it!

We had a lovely week here. The house is well equipped very clean and spacious. Such a big ensuite bathroom. It is in a great location. Just a short walk down the hill to the harbour. Great place to see the sunset at the end of the harbour wall and also a resident seal. Also easy access to get around Cornwall. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful house, lovely size, comfortable and very well appointed. This house provides literally everything, even rucksacks and flasks for walking or picnic days. Beds are very comfortable and the house is in such a quiet spot in Boscastle. The parking space round the back is great – very generous but necessary space. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Loved the week in Norwood. It was the second time staying in this fabulous cottage and am sure it won’t be my last. Norwood is beautifully equipped and presented, a little haven of luxury, it truly is a gem of a cottage in wonderful Boscastle.

Thank-you for the afternoon tea on arrival.
We were so lucky with the weather, swam most days and got some lovely walks in. We went to Tintagel Castle and were impressed with the New Bridge. We also went to King Arthur’s Hall. Well worth a visit.

Norwood House is the most charming and beautifully decorated place to stay in Boscastle. There is nothing we could find fault with. The owner has obviously spent a great deal of time and effort on ensuring our stay was just perfect, so cosy and comfortable. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

From the minute we walked through the door we felt so lucky to have found Norwood. It was incredibly clean, warm, comfortable and well decorated. We had a great week in Boscastle exploring the area. The local bus service was really good meaning we didn’t have to drive if we didn’t want to. A fab house and lovely area.

We have just spent a lovely 2 weeks at Norwood in Boscastle along with our 2 dogs. Upon entering the property my husband and I both commented how spotlessly clean it was and that became apparent throughout the property and outside too. We were left a lovely Cornish cream tea and fresh flowers in the lounge which was a lovely touch. The property is on a quiet little street and parking is tight but there is a parking space for the property just a short walk away so it really isn’t a problem. Plenty of walking from the door through the woods and also onto the cliffs. A really lovely touch is the gorgeous Paragon China, so nice from the usual holiday home crockery. Overall a fabulous little cottage, fully recommended and a huge thanks to the cleaning team who just cannot be faulted.

“My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks at Norwood celebrating retirement. The experience could not have been better!! Norwood checks off the list of what a perfect holiday rental should be, and more. It is very well kept, very comfortable, very clean and very welcoming. Arriving to a fresh cake and tea ready to brew set the tone for our fabulous stay.

Boscastle and Cornwall were a new discovery for us and far exceeded our expectations. The beauty of the coast has to be seen to truly believe it. The harbor in Boscastle is a true gem and the surrounding towns are delightful to explore. We loved walking on the Coastal path, which is within a short walking distance of Norwood.

Our absolute favorite dining/shopping was at the Boscastle Farm store…amazing!!! Their cafe is excellent and shopping there for local produce, meats and cheeses and going home to cook on the Norwood AGA was a dream come true for a US cook.

“The cottage was everything we hoped for and much more. It is beautifully appointed and so well situated in the charming village of Boscastle.

Coming from Australia we were delighted at the level of attention and thought provided by our host Nancy. Every instruction, directions and pieces of advice were spot on. It is clear Nancy is proud of Norwood, Boscastle and North Cornwall. She is a wonderful amdassodor.

We had some friends from the UK stay with us for a few days and they were blown away with the quality of the accommodation and the charm of the village.

The private parking spot was a valued extra. The free internet was realiable and speedy. As you can appreciate having a good WiFi internet connection is essential when you are travelling.

“Such a comfortable and well equipped house that had everything we needed for a weeks stay and more. All the fittings and décor was great quality and we felt at home from the moment we got there. Very dog friendly. The village shops and pubs are all a short walk away but do be prepared for steep roads. I was initially terrified at the thought of cooking with an Aga but the instructions were foolproof and it was a joy. Norwood is very well placed to get on the coastal path, ideal for our dog, and equally well placed to wander down to Boscastle harbour.
